CANCELLATION POLICY

Clients are able to cancel enrollment in courses that they have purchased, but they are subject to the following conditions:

A student may cancel out of a course up to the 14th day prior to the course start date and receive a 92% refund.  8% is withheld to cover the administrative and e-commerce costs that have already been incurred. No refunds will be issued during the 2 weeks prior to the course as class sizes will be set and students will be registered for certification with our partner agencies.


TAXES AND FEES

The Shield Institute is a Canadian Small Supplier and, as such, is not required to charge sales taxes until a pre-defined income threshold is met. We currently charge a 13% fee to cover the costs of e-commerce transactions, e-learning platforms, video classroom fees, etc. that are incurred per student. Should the threshold be met, the Shield Institute will begin applying Harmonized Sales Taxes to all products, but has agreed to waive all administrative fees so that consumers will pay the same final amount.
